Walled courtyard garden
A 1920s lot with no usable yard. We took it down to grade, built a limestone wall for privacy, and centered a bluestone terrace between four mirrored beds.
L—100 Landscape design & build · Twin Cities
We draw the whole property first — grades, drainage, planting, stone — then build it. One plan set, one team, from the first site walk to the last plant watered in.

L—200 Scope of work
Most projects use three or four of these. We scope them together so grades, drainage, and planting are solved on one drawing instead of six change orders.
Site analysis, grading and drainage plans, planting plans, and a full construction set your permit office will accept.
Natural stone walls, bluestone patios, steps, and driveways set on properly compacted base — dry-laid or mortared.
Native-forward planting with hardy perennials, shade trees, and lawn alternatives sized for how the bed will look in year five.
Regrading, French drains, dry wells, and rain gardens that move water off the foundation and keep it on your property.
Low-voltage path and accent lighting plus zoned drip irrigation, wired and plumbed during the build, not retrofitted after.
Spring and fall cleanups, pruning, bed edging, and a two-year grow-in program for every landscape we install.
L—300 Method
We spend an hour on the property, note grades and drainage, and talk budget honestly before you spend a dollar on design.
Concept, revisions, then a stamped construction set: layout, grading, planting, lighting, and a fixed-price build estimate.
Our crews do the excavation, stone, and planting. One project lead is on site every working day and answers your texts.
We come back at 30 days, one season, and one year to adjust irrigation, replace anything that struggled, and hand off care notes.

Plan
Built
Marine on St. Croix
Four dry-laid stone terraces turn an unwalkable 22% slope into garden rooms, with a switchback path that meets ADA rise on every run.

Linden Hills, Minneapolis
Both downspouts and the driveway now drain into a planted basin sized for a 1-inch storm. Nothing reaches the street, and the city rebate covered the plants.
Plan

Summit Avenue, St. Paul
We reset the original 1901 sandstone walk and steps to true grade, matched the missing pieces from a regional quarry, and replaced two failing boulevard lindens.
L—410 From the clients
“They showed up with a grading plan when three other companies showed up with a mower and a guess. The water problem we'd had for nine years is just gone.”
“The same three people were in our yard for six weeks. By the end they knew the dog's name and exactly where the property pins were.”
“The estimate was the price. They came back at 30 days and again in spring to swap two shrubs that didn't take. No invoice.”
L—500 Where we work
Our office is pinned on the map. The list below shows areas we frequently are visiting.
L—600 Start a project
We book design work about six weeks out and installs one to two seasons out. Reaching out now is the right time for next year.
